Unexplained alarm

On my car I get an intermittent bleeping alarm that lasts for 20-30 seconds, there is no indication of any alarm on the dash. The alarm sound randomly and stops by itself. Ideas welcome or is it a dealer visit?

Not quite sure which 'beeps' you are referring to here. I think you may be hearing the fairly loud beep that is warning you about the latest HADECS 3 cameras, and not the excess speed warning which is adjustable. These cameras are smart, and detect you approaching. The beeps will start approx 30 seconds before you reach the camera, and cease immediately after you pass it. No written warning appears on the dash for this alarm.

Thank you for that, the bleeps are very loud and the last occurrence was on a smart motorway. I'll be in that area later this week and will see if it happens again.

I got a similar alarm which I discovered was warning me of an old Gatko camera site, so I assumed it was linked to GPS mapping.
