Mine make the range remaining pop up on the dash, which is a bit pointless as it's displayed there all the time anyway.
Suspect it's a leftover from either the ICE version of the car, or an option that's not on the british variants, so they assigned a random function to it so it did something.
Would be nice it you could assign it to something, although I'm not sure what I would assign to it if I could!
