USB trouble

I bought a new USB to listen to music in the car. Put lots of music onto it from I-Tunes and when I plugged it into the car it came up as 'unsupported format' What should I do ? It is a USB 3.0 256 GB Sandisk so a good make and it works elsewhere.

If it's from itunes maybe the files are ACC and not MP3?

Also what format did you use on USB? FAT32 EXFAT NTFS?

If you are using a Mac, check that it isn't formatted to HFS+, fat32 is probably best.
