The 3D printed ones give satisfaction on many points, designing or customising an existing print file, watching them being made, delivery on the same day, no doubt more too, rather than mouse clicks and a 2 week wait.

They look great. However, I would be afraid to use them because it often attracts attention to the vehicle from the wrong people.

Not sure if these are metal but would warn of any that are, put some on mine and when needing to put air in they were stuck fast. I had to use pipe grips to remove. Plastic ones are now back on.

Yep, the 2 different metals of the values and caps react. And fuse together. Put a dab of Copper grease on the valve threads, problem solved.

I never really thought about it before, but you are correct with metal caps rusting and sealing together.

Only plastic for me from now on.

Same here, been there, done that, plastic can't rust.

Metal caps aren't usually ferrous so they don't rust but they can suffer from galvanic corrosion at the faying surface i.e. the thread.

Absolutely and they won't get nicked!

Copper grease is very good for securing the threads.
I use a small amount of silicone grease.

It's worth loosening the nuts every few months and reapplying the grease.

To be honest, if we all checked our tyre pressures regularly, like we know we should, then sticking valve caps would never be a problem.
