In the classic Aussie vernacular ... Yeah...NahThere's a company in the UK doing just that with an option of a 75kWh battery and 300 bhp.

Mine is a late bay, much like the yellow one in the gallery slides, but has the same Pop Top as that splitty.
How he can claim that is original beats me, they were originally painted in enamel that would be through to the bare metal by now, that is just a poor quality restoration.
The full back of mine is a queen size bed size, the one he shows would be lucky to fit a 3/4 mattress in that space.
Mine will either have the MG4 drive train or the Prius Gen 2, either will have the Zombie Inverter board upgrades and if it's the Prius, driving both MG1 and MG2 to give 125kw or better, undrivable past that ..... As written across the back bumper of a Rat Look fully restored Kombi at the last Kombi show and shine long weekend we attended at Valla, "Handles like a dog on lino" is about as close to the truth as you'll find
Where you can see the rear seat is fitted between the rear wheel arches, that is where the 160ltr LPG tank is at the moment, that will be where the control gear goes, the battery will be under floor and any room left in the rear where the air cooled 1800 flat 4 lived, will become boot space.
Yet to decide where the cooling radiators will live, either under the side vents to the width of the wheel arches and vented through under the body, or up front somewhere.
