What in your life apart from your MG have battery packs?

Mmmm this could be a long list…

It's all a bit man cave stuff mainly in the lists so far. @Archev is bringing it closer to everyday stuff.

Toothbrush
Shaver
Hair tongs
Radio
Speaker
Electronic scales
Hand warmers
Tablet
Oh and don’t forget my heated Gillet with two rechargeable power packs which opened out acted as a wonderful temporary electric blanket in Glen Nevis when the rechargeable thermometer fell below zero one very non rechargeable night in the roof tent on my MG5. I was as warm as toast 👌

I just wish they'd all use the same battery.

At the moment I have:
Vax - vacuum cleaner
Black and Decker - drill x 2, impact driver, reciprocating saw
Titan - multi saw
Einhell - lawnmower, hedge trimmer, strimmer

Not sure if the following count as having battery packs as although they are cordless you can't remove the battery.
Toothbrush
Tyre inflater
Jump starter
Doorbell
Alarm system sensors
Computer mouse
Assorted remote controls

Pacemaker
Standard Drill
SDS Drill
Hedge Trimmer
iPhone
Laptop
Tablet
Impact Driver
BMW i3
Peg Perego Gaucho Jeep
Peg Perego John Deere Tractor
House battery DIY
House Battery Growatt
UPS System
Oscilloscope

If we are talking about power packs, that is removed from the device to charge, apart from the usual power tools, lawnmower etc. I can add far too many radio control aircraft/helicopters and a couple of boats plus the power tank that powers my telescope.

Ryobi
2 hand held vacs , one larger vac
Small clip on fan
Drill driver
1/2 impact gun
Tyre inflator
Compressor
Hedge trimmer , strimmer , 33cm lawn mover
Reciprocating saw
Window vac (incoming , ordered yesterday)
Pressure washer
4 genuine and 4 temu batteries
Sealy , 3/8 ratchet , hex impact driver and standard 13mm drill driver

I totally agree but I’m trying to imagine my toothbrush with a Ryobi battery 😱

It would be good.
After early failure with Ryobi, I went to Bosch which still works. A neighbour helped me reclad the stable block and had Dewalt, I was so impressed I bought a twin pack from Screwfix. I then needed a 2nd fix nailer and just bought a cheap Excel and for the lawnmower went Einhell, despite deciding to stick with one battery type. Then a cheap bare jigsaw pitched up for the Excel battery and when I was looking for a battery pressure washer to rinse the kayaks down before putting them back on the car I ended up with an Einhell. So much for sticking to one battery.

Two or three thoughts , if this is just a collection from a niche EV forum and quite likely repeated in man caves through out the world , then the ICE brigade who say " oh ! its the batteries polluting the world " excuse, won't have leg to stand on.
What happened to all the NiCad and other earlier batteries , and tools whose life expectancy was not as good as promised.
And, why did no-one say to me 10 years back , here's a thing to invest your spare cash in. 🤷‍♂️

Apart from the stuff others have mentioned like tools, phones, toothbrushes etc. I would add my sunglasses (they play music), my chainsaws, and most of all my UTV.

I have to say the Stihl 220 C-B has really impressed me. I have the Ryobi 18v chainsaw and the Ryobi 36v chainsaw, and although both have their use case, the Stihl is more powerful than the 36v Ryobi but the battery pack also lasts at least twice at long. And considering the price of both I would recommend the Stihl every day of the week.

Love the idea of musical chainsaws 👍
