What makes you feel old?

I remember going out for a pint with Beethoven.

Conversation wasn't up to much, though...
You sure it wasn’t Belhaven ??

I've been having small faces Sunday afternoon going round in my head
That's at least 6/7 years older than me
Listen up kid - that was / is good stuff OK ?

But did you actually but one?
I certainly played them, on a wind up gramaphone, with steel needles that had to be changed fairly often
You can’t come on here blethering willi nilli about needles - there’s youngsters listening on here you know?

feeling old.......

  • having Sparky the Magic Piano on 78s
  • learning to drive in a car that had real wood on the outside
  • Thunderbirds, Joe 90, Captain Scarlet (and slightly later UFO...)
  • sweeties being much more than one bite (yes Wagon Wheels... I'm looking at you!)
  • the 'ginger' lorry coming round ('ginger'= fizzy drinks)

:-)
