The other half is making her special fish pie with buttery potato and garden pea mash.

Been down to the weekly market, found our preferred fish monger who does a good pie mix, knows our preferences so selects fish accordingly, weighs it checks your ok with the price and then throws in another handful for free. You wont see that with the prepackaging at the supermarkets.

Well she's not added the freshly grated mature cheddar which is currently chained up in the cellar, but yes a well forked mash makes a difference.

Not big, but well trained, they carry the half block or butter which goes in the centre and flows down the mash channels.
