What you having for your Tea/Dinner, tonight. ?

Hey guys when should I worry about the possibility that I’m becoming victim to substance abuse or addiction troubles??
I’ve just discovered, lurking in my food cupboard, my secret passion for a product has built up over the course of a few months. I’ve assumed that I had used it all and now find that my rotation system has been seriously lacking. This has resulted in an absolute glut of four tins of French onion soup secreted in the depths of the tins cupboard.
Mind you I do actually love the stuff so it will be used but I’ll have to learn some onion soup purchase aversion therapy for a couple of weeks.
(4 tins / 2 weeks - that doesn’t make a bad person does it - a soup junky 😩)

Simple Tea, tonight. 🙂👍

Simply delicious I’d say 👌. Curiously enough I’m getting a wee bit peckish and thinking about hard boiled eggs myself which I’ll boil shortly on some cheapo electric I’ve saved in my power station from last night.

I’ll just have some simple salad with them and I have no cake so I’ll have to make do with bread. Luckily I made a rather fine looking granary loaf overnight last night. To attempt to get a sweet kick to emulate that fine cake I shall resort to a spread of thick black treacle. Yeah I know, a poor substitute for a grand cake from Burnley, but it’s going to have to suffice. So happy birthday to your brother in law and to my Nephew’s Daughter’s brand new son with name as yet unknown to me born this very day.
And a happy unbirthday to the rest of us before I spill this treacle everywhere.

Nobody seems to have your traditional Sunday dinner these days, maybe because it's too warm at the moment, we just had chunky breaded cod, fried potato slices, and mushy peas, all courtesy of Tesco. 😊
I had a Sunday roast in a pub yesterday, no mash potato so I don't think I can count it.

Well I’m having a trad Toby Sunday roast tonight with my Daughter and Granddaughter accompanied of course by Ruby my Granddog. I’ll have turkey and all the veg except potatoes - well - maybe one 🤩

Mash is for sausages and pies, not a roast dinner, that requires roast potatoes. :)
Mashed potatoes and turnip, which my Granny called clapshot, is for either mince with dough balls or preferably haggis, but definitely without the creamy whisky sauce- yuck with a double U.
