Chippy tea tonight (with the addition a can of mushy peas cooked in the microwave).

Cod for pebbles as she's a pescatarian.

Needed a quick meal before heading to the pub to watch the mighty Forest take on Wrexham in the FA Cup.

pescatarian ....... Had to Google that one, apparently not referring to being a member of a branch of a non catholic religion ........

Had chicken and leak pie, curtesy courtesy of the Aldi frozen food section, potatoes cut into thick wedges, both cooked up in the air frying, to give that special coating of fried air to add to the flavour, and Heinz mushy peas in a foil pack heat in a saucepan on the stove and poured over the pie ..... yummm

The long explanation was to make it look like I cooked it, actually, the wife is a master at these quick meals, and ones that feed us for 3 to 4 days as another specialty .... my cooking skills have diminished to next to nil over the last few yrs

She would be so impressed with that title, so, my lips are sealed, she won't hear that from me We only have a 31 ft motorhome to live in at the moment, giving her an even bigger head that she already has, would make navigating the hallway almost impossible .....

Tried out the new air-fryer out last night.

Whole roast chicken with a dry rub of paprika, salt and mixed herbs with roasted potato wedges, carrots and parsnips and leeks sautéed in butter.

Tonight extravaganza, smokey pork ribs in gravy, another Aldi frozen food item, mashed potato, Colliflower and cabbage ..... The pork spare ribs in the air fryer, excellent, definitely a repeat so onto the shopping list. Creamy yellow potatoes, low carb on the bag The gravy from the ribs, poured over the cabbage and collie ..... Yummmm...... Not into food photos, so you'll have to take my word for it

Isn't that a bit dangerous putting a can in the microwave ?

As I'm sure you will guess by my ability to reply I decanted it into a suitable (pyrex) container before microwaving.

Just wanted to share the tip that it saves a lot of money and non-recyclable plastic to do your own mushy peas. We don't have our own deep fat fryer for the fish and chips, though (and it would cost a lot to run if we did!)

Tonight’s dinner was stir fried chicken with protein noodles and assorted veggies. When almost ready I added a lemon and lime sauce and it was delicious. I now have a walnut yogurt and any minute now will activate the cafetière plunger and enjoy some rich Italian ground coffee before becoming the dish washing skivvy for another evening’s entertainment

Spout and quorn curry for us tonight. With sweet potato and carrot as well. Tikka Massala sauce but I put some extra flavours in.
