Wheel damage on delivery

I've had my car a few days and I've just noticed this damage to a wheel my car which I didn't do...

So I made a post in a Facebook group and someone replied with the following pic...

Too much of a coincidence I reckon!

Has anyone else spotted damage to their wheels on delivery?

Wow, that is way too much of a coincidence, it must be some sort of transporter damage.

Wheel strap damage? The metal part of the ratchet strap, possibly. Obviously back to the dealer.
New alloy and new tyre. Good luck.

I too wish you luck with the dealer, come back and let us know how you get on. There is a fair chance they could play the "can't prove you haven't done it, should have reported it on pickup" card due to a few days having passed since you took the car. Let's hope they're decent though and don't.

When you go back to the Dealer, make sure you have a picture of the other one with you.

You took pictures of your car on delivery so it should be easy enough to determine whether the damage is fresh or existing.

Did he? can't see the OP stating this... but I hope you're right!

Going off the 2 pics, something has definitely been rubbing the wheel, and tyre, that's not kerb damage. Almost certainly damaged in transit. Think you should have a good case, there. Hopefully anyway. Keep us informed.

Ordered October from Arnold Clark - arrived this morning.

IM5 performance, white/white.

I've come from a Jaguar i-Pace which is an incredibly well put together car which cost £85K new and this is almost as good (which is a compliment because that Jag was amazing).

My first surprise was that this is the first new car I've had (and I've had about 15 over the years) which doesn't have "new car smell". It has no smell! I'm guessing that there's no real leather in here.

Next reaction is that the interface is awful and was obviously designed by a car person and not...
