I know the topic of being able to "save" settings of various safety systems is a contentious one, with manufacturers unable to allow safety features to be permanently switched off, meaning they have to be adjusted every trip. Some manufacturers, and even MG on some models offer a shortcut to restore all preferred settings with a simple user action every trip.
But I wonder why something innocuous like the setting to limit speed cannot be remembered permanently?
It is not choosing to make the car any "less safe".
