Note about disguising sweary-words. Don't do it.

It doesn't matter in this case, because "bloody" is not on the list of banned words. There's no need to disguise it, but no penalties for doing so.

The situation is different for banned words. If you disguise a banned word in this way then you will get an infraction. If you type a word in clear, and it happens to be on the banned list, the auto-censor will catch it and replace it with something innocuous. You will not incur a penalty. But if you disguise it so that the auto-censor doesn't get to do its job, you will.

So as a general rule, don't try to disguise any word. It's either unnecessary, or it will get you a set of rapped knuckles.

I can hear that ice cracking from here ..... @Rolfe doesn't want have to take her laptop with her, just to keep an eye on you ..... the sand and spray suntan oil plays havoc with the keyboard .....

You can not. The other mods will get you. And I'm taking my phone.

And most forums work like this. No penalty if the autocensor deletes a banned word. All hell breaks loose if you circumvent the autocensor though. So don't. (There are far more elegant ways to do it, by the way.)
