Not an MG
I ordered an MG5 Exclusive LR in early January 2022. Apparently it’s in the country and should be delivered to the dealer in the next week or so. Yay. Happy days!

My query is as I am buying it for cash and qualify for the Affinity scheme what Affinity discount should apply? Early January’s or the current one. There’s quite a difference…

Thanks in advance

When you put your deposit down were you given a final payment figure with the Affinity discount and did you get a free choice of colour and at the same time they should have told you about the free type2 cable. If not then the car may not have been available on the Affinity scheme.

Is the affinity scheme still around? Asking as I’ve just put my £99 holding deposit on the new Trophy

My Affinity discount was detailed on the order.
Mine too. Qualification for the Affinity Scheme has to be agreed with MG prior to the order being placed. Dealer terms for Affinity vehicles are quite different to those under which they purchase other MG vehicles according to my dealer, and orders have to be agreed in advance on an individual basis.

No final payment figures just ‘Affinity discount’ written on the order. Free metallic paint. They didn’t mention the cable but we have a tethered charger already so it was immaterial to me.

It may be immaterial but if I was you I would still ask for it because you're entitled to it and it is free. Then it's up to you whether to keep in car for untethered free chargers at supermarkets etc. or just sell it.

I've just dug out my original order from last June.
I can clarify that it didn't directly detail the discount, but it did detail the post PICG/Affinity discount price (£22,464 for an MG5 Exclusive in my case). I paid a £400 deposit so it showed the amount owing at delivery to be £22,064.
The invoice of course detailed everything.

Mine was an MG5 LR Excite model. So the lower spec but I also got 6 year interest free loan from Scottish Gov. All good. Only complaint is length of time waiting for it but deal too good not to just hang on. Travelling down to Liverpool today. Just passed 3 transporters loaded with ZS so some folk will be lucky.

Total is £22,968 ordered 13/12/21
This sounds right for an Excite LR including Vat. But it also sounds like you got 2500 PICG discount as well. So long as the total above is including Vat it is a good deal for an MG5 Excite.
