Hi all,
I can connect and register to my car using the app. But when I go to Charge Management page, it shows 'Charge Port Over Temperature' and doesnt allow me to charge from the app. But the car can be charged without any errors or warnings shown in the car. I am still using the supplied MG granny charger.
My car is MG ZS EV 2022 model and my app version 1.0.1.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Kaushalya

Charged overnight as per usual. When I checked my mg app to see if it was done I clicked on battery management section to see a red message saying Charger port overheating. See photo. Anyone else had this before?

Good morning...... I just wondered if anyone can advise/reassure me on this message in red please.

I've logged in this morning and this came up on my app.

I'm worried whether or not I can charge up my car.

Thank you very much for your help

Personally, I have never witnessed this warning myself sorry.
Did this happen while attempting, or after receiving a charge or has the warning ⚠️ just suddenly appeared for no apparent reason ?.
If so, it could just be a rouge software glitch, not that uncommon.
Have you attempted to carry out a charge since receiving this warning ?.
I taken it you done another car health scan with the App.
When you put the car in READY mode, does it flag up any warnings on the dash panel at all ?.
If the car does have a fault, the car will flag up I am pretty sure !.

Looking like a new problem last few days

Thank you very much @Lovemyev

Really appreciate your help

It started this morning after my Google play updated the app.

I haven't charged it for a few days.

I've now tried charging the car and everything seems to be working fine 🤞🏾

No errors on dash either so like you suggested it might be a gremlin etc

Once again thanks ☺️

So the new android I smart update 1.1.7 looks like there is a problem saying charge port overheating /high temperature

You are very welcome.
Just keep that screen shot that you posted, just in case you need to report it to the dealer, should you get a repeat warning.
The App can and does, throw up odd incorrect reports on the health check sometimes.
First scan, will regularly show that the sun roof is open on my car and fails to report the internal temperature of the inside of the car.
A second refresh scan, we usually tell the real truth 🤣.
When the App was first released, it would also report the electric window status incorrectly.
Then it became more and more unreliable.
Reporting the windows where open, when they where in fact all closed.
At the next App update, this window reporting feature was completely removed and it has never returned to this day !.
If you can’t fix, then remove it, I guess ?.

The IOS App appears to be as normal, two passes of the health check to get a full correct report of the 11 items 🤣.
I am currently using IOS Version 1.0.7

Hi,

I have just updated and noticed the same overheating messages. They weren't there just before the update so it must be a bug in the app.

Anyone know what the smart peripherals section is for? Won't allow you to add a new device and just shows current car. Maybe plans for more than one car?

Definitely a bug somewhere. Just seen that message and I haven't charged the car for several days and it's 10°C outside. This is on the latest app (today's update).
