Hi Guy/Gals,

I just thought I would share some photos of accessories that I fitted to my MG ZS EV. They are, chrome highlighters for the doors and mirrors, door sill protectors, a rather strange (but I like it) cover for the dash, looks like a carpet but fits well and has a nice red accent. All are available on Amazon or eBay.

I really wanted an Exclusive Model but due to the Dealer telling me that I would have to wait another 3 months if I changed my order I was forced to take my original order. The only thing I miss from the Exclusive Model (sun roof does not interest me) was the leatherette seats as I have a dog and fabric seats and dog hair don't mix. So I had the seats retrimmed in Red/Black Leather which looks better (I think) than the dark seats offered in either trims and real leather is better I think that the leatherette.

Regards

Frank

PS On delivery I had the MG Dealer fit mudflaps, rear mat and the chrome trim that goes on the rear door. I was going to fit (you should take it by now that I like red) the red turbines fitted to the First Edition MG ZS but the fitting costs were more than the price of the items themselves and I can't work out how to take off the black ones and replace them with the red ones, if anyone knows please tell me?

I know, but except for the seat retrimming which cost a £1000 the rest of the items were under £30 each. I am waiting for some chrome wind deflectors for the door, see link, I will let everyone know if indeed as claimed they reduce wind noise. As I am buying the car and not leasing it I don't mind buying items for the car, I am even considering 18" wheels and tyres.

I’ve bought a few bits for car I’m due to own from 1/3/20

All the chrome bits I fitted are just press fit as they come with sticky strips. The MG rear door chrome strip fits exactly the same way and NONE of the bits I fitted have yet fallen off. I fitted the same parts on my ICE MG ZS which I had for 5 months before trading it in and no problems there either. The only important bit to remember when fitting is that the area must be clean and dry and pre-wiped with an alcohol solution to make sure it is grease free, I used my Wife's nail polish remover to wipe the areas. Tomorrow I am getting chrome wind deflectors for the doors and they fit the same way, I will post some pictures when done.

All the best.

Frank

PS If you want to take them off just get a hair dryer and get them really hot and they will peel off and any residue left just wipe away with Nail Polish Remover!!!!!

Forgive the off topic note, but I assume you had zero experience of 'rustgate'? No signs of rust on your ICE ZS?
Our rustgate poll is snowing zero instances of rust so far. Please all vote if you own the ZS EV. You can always change your vote later if you get a problem with rust. Out of the 6 people who have voted so far, rather predictably, zero have experienced any rust.

Thanks, I have just fitted chrome wind deflectors to the car's Windows which accentuates the factory
Fitted chrome on the top of the doors. The wind deflectors also claim to reduce wind noise. I don't think the car suffers from wind noise but is is something that some testers have commented on, I will assess the so called claim to reduce wind noise, I only bought them to look nice, we shall see. I will post some photos.

all the best and I hope your Interest free loan is approved.

Frank

My best accessory £10 mud flaps from Ali express. Delivered in just over a week. Didn't have to remove rear wheels to fit, screws already in position. Drill two holes for fronts with 3mm bit, all fitted in 15 min. Think MG want £60 without fitting.
