ZS EV App? It’s probably the only EV without a factional app which is pretty frustrating especially knowing that the Asian market provides one :(

Without a doubt MG should respect all ZS EV owners and modify the existing Asian app to suit the European/UK market.

Any chance?

In a nut shell, the GEN1 ZS EV does not carry the sufficient hardware, to work in conjunction with the Thailand software App.
The new ZS EV Face lift will be the same with regards to the iconnect model.
If you order the Trophy model but NOT the iconnect then the extra features that this offers, can not be added at a latter date.
Not purely a software upgrade, the car needs to be equipped with the necessary hard ware at the factory.
Missing hardware is the problem here, not software.

Why not just buy a 'Connect' if its features are important to you.

After Tesla's recent problem with their app going wrong, its a bonus not to have an app....:D
Rubbish! I've had an app for my Outlander phev for 6 years and however clunky that is I wouldn't ever consider buying another electric car without one.
I realise that a lot of ev owners without apps are happy with their cars but this sort if evangelistic fake noos stuff is just nonsense.

In my opinion.

It's of no importance to me, thats why I would not order it !.
I was only pointing out that you can't upgrade to the iconnect AFTER you have purchased the car.
It's clear you were answering the question regarding the Mk1 vs the current model - thanks for clarifying the difference regarding app connectivity, it's useful info when weighing options.
