MG ZS EV Shipping Updates

Well that’s not very nice is it…alway me,me,me..that’s the trouble with you..no thought about anyone else...🤣🤣🤣🤣
I am sure everyone one who contacts their dealer only asks about THERE OWN order.
you could do the same then you would be a me, me, me. 🤬🤬

Why don’t the Chinese build a factory over here and then we could get our cars sooner?
Would cost far too much. I do however wonder why India isn’t being used to supply RHD markets (UK, Aus etc) considering low labour cost and MG already have an established factory there.

I ordered a Trophy LR in Silver mid December 2021 and as yet no idea when I will get it. Should have been end of March but now looking like September......well at least it will be a '72' reg now

I visited MG in Stirling this morning to get a feel of the situation. Asked them the following questions....

Quote...
Question - If I order the MG5 today, when will I get delivery?
Answer - Nov or Dec 2022, Not earlier than that.
Question - Is the long wait due to the semi conductor chip issue?
Answer - No, the chip is not so much of the problem at the moment. The delay is due to the "wiring loom" which is manufactured in UKRAINE.
Question - Wow, this is the first time I am hearing that the Chinese are outsourcing the wiring loom production/assembly outside of China. Are all MG models's wiring loom's done in Ukraine?
Answer - I am not sure about all models, but he MG5's are done in Ukraine.
..... Unquote

I am not sure if this is a strategy of using Ukraine's current situation as an excuse for the delays to cover up the actual reasons for the delays.

I booked in Jan 2022 and doesn't seem like I will get my vehicle by the end of Dec 2022.

Did a little research on the web and it turns out the sales person at MG was most probably telling the truth. The problem has just gone from bad to worse. The Guru's are saying Vehicle production is likely to reduce by 700,00 in the 1st and 2nd quarter of 2022. All of us waiting for our new vehicles are pretty much badly stuck due to situations which are beyond our control.

Hopefully that's just European cars

Let us know please when you have it. Did you order the car 2 weeks ago or when did you order the car? Thanks
I ordered it 2 weeks ago. Apparently it's just dumb luck. It was ordered as a demo and the dealership didn't want it anymore, swapped it with another dealership and I happened to be the first person they called as I'd made an online enquiry the night before. Still think there's a high chance they are going to bump me.

I cant imagine that there aren't more people ahead of you in the queue for one of these. Good for you if you get it, but shitty on those who have been waiting since october/November if your dealer isn't doing first come first served.

I've been watching shanghai docks and the ro ro terminals are doing OK the grand victory had no problems docking it stopped at Singapore to bunker. It's now on way to the suez canal all being well should be in Portbury 9th May. So would say mg are on it
