I found it necessary to clean the pads as I disliked the squeal that happened reversing in the morning. I think some of it is no garage and a salty environment but if it didnt make a noise I'd probably have needed new pads at some point.

If you put cruise control on at a low speed i think you can accelerate above it and friction brake back down to it. It does at least turn off kers when you aren't using the brake peddle.

The multiple errors come on when you start the car after disconnecting the 12v and they don't go away until you drive the car then "turn the ignition off". So may be unrelated to other issues.

You could also ask the company that fitted it to check that if they seem more willing to come out. As the dno may be unwilling to come look based on a charger issue. Or if you think £20 is worth it get plug in tester like This
