    I’m getting the same issue. Unlocking and locking the car didn’t help. Had to sit in it and watch it clear the screen, which took about 6 minutes with temp -4°C.

    Another feature noticed after software update, if I go into reverse rear camera goes on (same as it always have) but then if I go into drive the front camera goes on. Quite useful when parking in a tight spot. Goes off once you hit 13mph (assume it’s 20km)

    Failed Gridserv/ABB charging in MG4

    Got the same on IONITY. Averaged 97kW on a 16 minute charge which gave me 42% of charge. 15 minutes for 100 miles is pretty good by me, if only there were reliable chargers with that speed at every service station.

    Max charge speed

    So I used my first rapid charger yesterday, IONITY at Chippenham. Car was on 33% and left on 75%, took 16 minutes of charging. I have to say I was impressed. Is this typical?

    I had exactly the same thing with the signup website. Spoke to someone and got signed up so not a full charge is £5 at 7.5p per kW.

    Got the car back today. Here’s hoping no repeat issues or else my wife is insisting we reject the car. Even though 30 days are up tomorrow I’ve actually only had the car for 5 of them so I believe the time MG had my car is added in to the 30.

    They ordered a new body control module, and now want both sets of keys as apparently they will need to re-initialise the keys. I’m still getting a lot of alerts on the app.

    Not really. They got around to offering me a hire car on Friday (nissan Leaf - not a fan) but I’m supposed to return it Monday morning at which point I believe MG are responsible for providing me with something.

    To be fair to MG they only got it yesterday. AA took 3 tries to collect it, then tried to deliver it to the wrong garage.

    Just heard back from MG. They are trying to work out what is wrong but it isn’t the 12v battery. Now checking all the fuses one by one which triggers a lot of iSMART alerts.

    I am concerned that there were 2 attempts to charge the 12v and neither showed anything. Also I wasn’t 100% decided in the first place, my wife was keen on a brand new car so that’s why I went for the MG4.

    Car finally (Friday 10:30am) made it to the garage. They were first called at 7:55am on monday. This is the AA unfortunately not being very good, now it’s time for the MG dealer to diagnose and fix it. Will see what happens. There is a tiny part of my brain saying buy a second hand long range...
