I’ve noticed that I sometimes get power outside the 23:30 to 05:30 off peak time but charged at the off peak rates. This happens if I plug the car in in the evening on return from a trip away and ask for the car to be ready at say 09:00 or 10:00 etc.
My Tyndrum Green Welly quest won’t happen until later this week. A friend has a hospital appointment in Ayr on Wednesday so I’m going there on Tuesday instead.
Just been collecting some spices for the production of a fruit loaf to see what effect that has on the Berlingo economy.
I’ve haven’t...
Then you must try the roast beef 👍 available on a bread roll or on a plate with tatties and veg 👌.
Spoiler alert. Looks like a bit wet there over the weekend. I might postpone that run until Monday/ Tuesday when the forecast is drier.
Has anyone been in Tyndrum lately? More specifically the Green Wellie area ?
I’m wondering if they have, or are about to have some Tesla chargers installed???
I might just have a wee trip there for lunch tomorrow and have a wee nose about. OK I could just phone and ask but where’s the fun in...
After my hundred mile run today to Hamilton and around the area Berlingo now reads 2.6 mi/kWh so getting better again. I don’t think I’ll be going far tomorrow but might go over to Ayr on Saturday so that might help get the 3.7 figure back or something closer to it.
I’ve about 100 miles to drive in total today and my overnight charge has set up 199 in “normal” apparently ( still indoors enjoying my porridge )
I usually drive in eco with max regen so that’s probably just north of 200 miles available. Just taken a fruit loaf out of the bread machine. Once it...
Aye it’s possible, I never have the heater on really but perhaps the mechanic did. Strange how it’s never moved from 3.7 and then plummeted all at once. They had the car for about four and a half hours in total.
Possibly, but it has read 3.7 every second I’ve switched it on and / or driven it since February / March. After a wee run this afternoon it’s now showing 2.2mi/kWh. I’ve a jaunt over to Hamilton and back tomorrow so I’ll check it out during that drive.
I’m guessing whoever did the test run after the service on the Berlingo yesterday drove it hard in power mode ? I’ve noticed he /she used around 20 - 25 kWh and knocked my economy figure back from the steady 3.7 it’s been at all year down to 1.3 !!! Today on a short trip I’ve coaxed it back to...
I just looked over to the winter wonderland otherwise known as the Pentland hills to the south of Edinburgh. All glistening and Bonny with their sugar coating today. Gosh it’s a different world over there 🤣
First service for Berlingo this morning - ticky ticky tick all down the page four tyres at 5mm - spare tyre at 8mm.
All brake pads at 10mm.
They replaced the fuses I blew on the 12 volt sockets with a crappy old light.
Car washed.
Total invoice £0.00.
Happy driver so far so I’ve treated...
Tried that but me damn string broke. Here’s the best I could do after my Covid and flu jabs earlier today. It’s hard making me and the landies out due to the funny lighting and those bloomin’ trees but I can assure you the crispy chicken wrap on the menu today was absolutely lovely. And they do...
That’s just it really, the whole story. Two beautiful rugged off road Landrovers. Both finished in black. I just had to have both, couldn’t bear the thought of just taking one and forever wondering where the other ended up. Between that and my recent purchase of the two matching electric bikes...
Adventuring thin on the ground lately. Drove three miles yesterday and parked Berlingo to take a bus to Livingston. Local bus so it visited ALL the wee villages imaginable. The driver, I’m sure thought it was the X version bus. He fairly flew between stops and stopped every sixth stop, stepped...
No, I think it would be best done along the honesty box principle. We should be trusted to send in a bit of cash now and again to cover what we think it’s worth. What could possibly be wrong with that??
So will we pay for the miles driven on the fuel actually used by our vehicles?
Ice / half ‘n half/ full ev.
Or will “our fuel” continue to be price matched with gas to give us twice the joy of taxation.
Not
Not including my heroic attempts to extract every last kilotoddle of regen from the Berlingo in its full downhill splendiferous majesty. Gosh I must annoy a few folk behind me 🤪
Oh heck I use my home ev tarriff for just about everything. Does that mean making bread and washing unmentionables will be taxed at tuppence a slice and per metre when pegged out on the line 😩
Last week I should have walked away from a CPS charger at Kelvin Grove art gallery in Glasgow.
Not being able to find a parking space I coupled up to a charger and smuggly walked past the lesser icers still looking to park.
When I returned my charger charge was £10.
My parking charge was £100...
I used to achieve around 600 miles per tank of diesel with my automatic Citroën Berlingo cars.
The MG ZS then the MG5 taught me the mindset tricks required with running an EV.
Now having returned to an e-Berlingo (with range around the 208 miles per full charge so far) I find it’s about right...
