Have I been lucky or what ?
In 60 years with 48 assorted motorcycles and cars I have only ever bought a new 6 volt battery. This was to try to fit within the casing of the old battery but I’ve never taken that any further.
So the batteries in all my other vehicles seem to have worked as...
I was out there in my robes chanting at the gloom invoking the rise of the new day’s sunlight as it glinted off the Citroen chevrons on the Berlingo - chanting :-
Hu - rry - up - it’s - bloo - min’ - cold
If in any doubt about the household sockets and wiring I would use the socket on the cooker switch. It will (should) be wired in heavier (usually 6mm²) cable. It’s also on a dedicated separate feed from the consumer unit (fusebox) unlike ordinary plug sockets which are usually daisy chained on a...
Note - I know I said semi auto Berlingo’s and then mentioned clutches but I believe those Citroens use a clutch system instead of a torque converter.
I did find the system worked perfectly but the ev system is just much more perfecter 🤪🤩
Checked again yesterday and today during walks along beautiful Ayr beach but Arran was definitely not there. Lovely blue bits of sky and a bit breezy but the cloud cover stubbornly stayed put where that grand island aught to have been. The legendary Warrior was nowhere to be seen.
The Heads of...
A good run through to Ayr today. A bit of traffic through Glasgow on the M80 / M77 but no great holdup.
I set off on 149 miles range showing. It’s 70 miles through here. I called in at Arnold Clarke’s BYD garage in Prestwick and topped back up to160 miles range whilst I used the facilities and...
I wish to report that the beautiful island of Arran has been either stolen or it has sunk !
I’m sitting in the Berlingo, in the rain, on Ayr beach car park and there’s no sign of that lovely island nor its mountains.
I’ll be more concerned about the size and structural soundness of my cake then - that’s gonna need to support 101 candles.
Mind you birthdays might be banned by then due to global warming risk 😭🥵
OK I was using the word as a generic description of all the various drinks which contain it. I’m just not keen on wines, beers etc any more. I’ve never imbibed nor enjoyed them all that much so a few years ago I just cut it to near zero. I still have a couple of bottles of malts I received when...
Yes that’s square / Lorne sausage. It is popular here but personally I’d retain it for target practice. I don’t like it at all. And I don’t like corned beef either for my stovies.
After a beef roast I prefer the left overs chopped up and cooked with some of the gravy into the softened, sliced...
No, I had a pfl MG5 for three years without any hitch. Possibly try the 12volt battery disconnect procedure?? ( remove the neutral connection for a minute or two then refit and proceed as normal)
Aye but make it £64000 with a time limit on the negotiations so that their older clientele can take receipt of whatever it takes to an get some enjoyment from it before shuffling away to whatever hereafter we’re after planning.
That’s now five hundred odd miles and Berlingo clawed back up to 3.2 mi/kWh on the way back from Ayr this morning. It’s been run, as usual, in eco and max regen at a max of 50/55 mph using mostly my domestic supplied amps with a few Arnold Clarke ones today and a wee top up with some cold CPS...
