If you have regen 3 engaged the brake lights come on anyway when its active
I seem to recall that using the manual parking brake puts the car in neutral and you have to push footbrake and engage drive to move off safety feature
I have a fl Mg5 that doesn't recognise 20 mph speed limit signs. Had it in for service last week and had an MG3 courtesy car for the day. It read every speed limit sign including 20mph accurately so it can be done
Ours has never recognised 20 mph limit.
Also shows the national speed limit (UK) sign on dual carriageways but either has a fissyfit showing the minor road speed limit on motorways or flashes 70 instead. Whilst its technically correct, national speed limit sign is correct for dual carriageways...
We use kers 2 and eco for normal driving and the brakes to slow down and stop, I very read of MG cars suffering seized pads and requiring new rotors through using kers3 all the time instead of the brakes. Figures quoted to replace are frightening so I'll stick to using the brakes thanks...

You can override Kers completely for motorway use. At about 30mph or thereabouts set cruise control then accelerate past that speed and the kers switches off, let cruise control adjust the speed and it uses little energy going back to motorway speeds
