Yeah, that is annoying. I got the same email myself this afternoon, and a refund. Hopefully, they will have some in soon enough.

    MGS6 Information & Reviews

Is there no other device in the vehicle somewhere? I was under the impression that most modern evs that are fitted with a heat pump also retain a high-voltage PTC (Positive Temperature Coefficient) heater as either: A cold-weather backup, or rapid warm-up booster, rapid defrost/demist assist...

De-Badged + Black Logos – Sharing the Result

Blacked out the main badges for a cleaner, more modern look — a bit more stealth. Added two original MG heritage chequered badges on the wings as a quiet nod to MG’s roots. Keeps some brand identity without reintroducing chrome.

De-Badged + Black Logos – Sharing the Result

Yes, I think it would work. It's a modern champagne / muted gold which already has black trim next to it, so it leans into a theme. If you want that "premium" executive finish, it would work. I whipped up a few Photoshop snaps, with a debadged rear, so you can get an idea.

The one they sent is too large. The supplier not sure if they have one for S6, so I adapted the one they sent.

De-Badged + Black Logos – Sharing the Result

I ordered them from MGTitan: https//www.mgtitan.com/en-gb/collections/mg-s6-accessories Shipping was about 10 days. They’re both covers — the rear fitted perfectly, but the front was too large. MGT said there are 11 different front badge sizes, so I’ve sent them measurements and they’re...

De-Badged + Black Logos – Sharing the Result

Tried something subtle today – removed the chrome badges and swapped the MG logos for gloss black. Wasn’t sure how much difference it would make, but on a darker spec it feels a bit cleaner and more cohesive. Front and rear shots below, plus a couple of interior pics for context. What do you...

Things not to like on the MGS6

If you change the location settings in the app to Singapore, and agree to the new terms and conditions, it immediately changes the look and layout of the app. Digital key sharing does display as an option. While this is no guarantee it would imply it's available in that region.

Things not to like on the MGS6

Yes, you can "bind" your phone to the car. Once you have done this you can set keyless start and remotely lock it unlock the car. You can also share a digital key with a friends or family. Furthermore, you can control the vehicles main features, air con, heated seats and steering wheel. Review...

MGS6 Dual Motor - real world range

Over only charged to 80% which shows 180 miles in 0 - 5 degrees C. Driven sensibly it will do that with air con etc. Driven with a bit of gusto and a heavy foot, about 130 to 150 miles. Today the weather was 11 degrees and it shows 195 miles at 80%.

Does anyone know how the MGS6 boot/tailgate kick motion actually works?

It worked. I got it to open 3 times in a row. Thanks so much.

Does anyone know how the MGS6 boot/tailgate kick motion actually works?

If anyone knows the correct way to do it i'd appreciate some schooling - The Irish Jig I've been doing doesn't seem to work! It's activated in the settings, and I got it to work once today with a swipe of my foot from side to side, but I can't do it again.

Things not to like on the MGS6

Hi, I've had my S6 Dual Motor a few weeks and travelled 600 miles. It's charged to 80% in 0-5 degrees C overnight which gives about 180 miles of normal to occasional spirited driving. The car handles the 360hp well, and can take the lead in most traffic light gran prix with a satisfying surge of...

    Insurance for Dual Motor

That seems more reasonable. There are some variables that make us higher risk (3 points, business, milage etc) but yes, it does seem steep in comparison. Thanks for sharing.

    Insurance for Dual Motor

Yes exactly, who knows. It's just the best available. If anyone else is comfortable to share it would be interesting to see. I had a VW ID3 for 4 years prior. That went from 360 yr 1 to 800 yr 2, then levelled out around 500 years 3 and 4 in similar crisis.

    Insurance for Dual Motor

It is. Also 20 yr no claim - there's no other quote I could find cheaper. It is 360hp £42k car. If anyone manages any better let me know, I'd love to get it down.

Ended up going with the AA for insurance in the Dual Motor. £770 for 2 drivers, 10k miles, + business usage, and an sp30. Everyone else over £1,000

That sounds like a very thoughtful way to look at it. The S5 is a great car, plus I think it looks slightly nicer in it's proportions. The s6 does have vehicle to load charging tech, I thought the S5 does also? so technically you could power your home (or appliances anyway) for a short while. I...

Hi all, just joined the group. Took delivery of my S6 Dual Motor on Saturday in Black Pearl for 31,990, brand new, from Poole MG. Not had an MG before so it's nice to try something new. Customer service was ok, but not up to par compared to some other dealerships I've used. They have a shortage...
