Out of interest anyone actually taken delivery of an S6?
Unfortunately the deals on the S6 aren't quite as good as they are on the S5, good luck.I’m currently in a mk1 HS PHEV. I have now set my sights on a S6. The car is practically perfect for my needs. I’m ready to go full EV. I’m just waiting around for April/May time.
Loads of deals out there £10k off brand new cars.Unfortunately the deals on the S6 aren't quite as good as they are on the S5, good luck.
Seen some deals on Auto Trader and also the Affinity deal. Could go for it now but I’ll wait, just hope the deals in a few months time are just as goodUnfortunately the deals on the S6 aren't quite as good as they are on the S5, good luck.
The Affinity deals are strong if you are eligible, interesting with the S6 some specs are hard to find, who knows what a few months will hold.Seen some deals on Auto Trader and also the Affinity deal. Could go for it now but I’ll wait, just hope the deals in a few months time are just as good![]()
Have to agree Salty, with EV technology there will always be a development just around the corner, the S6 while a recent addition to the MG range (the IM's are on a different level but while part of the SAIC group have nothing familure control wise the an MG user), every new release will get better and the S6 to me is a leap forward.Agree to a certain extent. But although not there yet. MG do seem to be improving. The MGS5 is apparently better than the MG4 so hopefully the MGS6 is a bit better still. And if I really wanted that particular motor, no way am i waiting a year or more.![]()
Hi all, just joined the group. Took delivery of my S6 Dual Motor on Saturday in Black Pearl for 31,990, brand new, from Poole MG. Not had an MG before so it's nice to try something new.
Customer service was ok, but not up to par compared to some other dealerships I've used. They have a shortage of charging cables and tried to fob me if with an old used and scuffed one. If you find this push back and they'll post one out when they come in.
The car is, so far so good. Drives beautifully, very refined and comfortable. Very quick off the line in sport DM mode, but I think the weight of the steering in this setting is set overly heavy. The car handles well in the bends for it's size. I find the head up display very useful but a little blurry, and I don't seem to find a good balance of focus, has any one else?
My only real gripe was the annoying women telling me off every single time you creep over the speed limit, but I think I've managed to shut her up in the Sat Nav menu settings... We'll see if she returns.. grrr..
One other issue was today. I have the seat set to go back when exiting the car. I got in today and it didn't go forward automatically until I pressed the memory setting. A glitch.
Wishing youyou all happy motoring! If you're considering one I say do it, it's really a lovely car for the money, but pay no more than 32k if you can
That sounds like a very thoughtful way to look at it. The S5 is a great car, plus I think it looks slightly nicer in it's proportions. The s6 does have vehicle to load charging tech, I thought the S5 does also? so technically you could power your home (or appliances anyway) for a short while. I think unless you want to treat yourself to a bit of extra space, or want a glass roof, then the S5 is a smart choice and will no doubt satisfy you. 7k is a lot of money to spend if your not sure. I tend to find if you're not sure on something it's a no.I really want to go for the s6 but hard to justify the extra 6-7 grand vs the listings I see for under 24 for the s5...I am not passionate about cars and don't have the urge to change cars, but given the pace technology is evolving I might change cars if they can be used to power the house in the next 3-5 years. Plus it would mostly be a weekend car, I would not use it to commute to work as I take the train instead
