What annoys me about the IM6

I got my IM6 last July, and one of the three included ‘Scenes’ was labeled Pet. It set the car up with proper ventilation and cooling to keep a pet healthy. A glaring omission was the lack of a message on the display including the internal temperature. But I digress. Some time during...

What annoys me about the IM6

Battery percent is in ‘My Car > Set’ My A/C is good but I have it set to 22°C. And I’m in Thailand where 30°C+ afternoons are normal. I agree that the handles suck. Easily fixed by a firmware update. No random alerts. I think the regen mimics the compression braking of a two litre four...

    Im6 car mats

I haven’t seen anyone MG Titan. I got perfect fit rubber floor mats and the rear area cargo mat. Also got a leather pouch for the key fob. It’s Chinese, so expect long delivery times, but it does eventually arrive. The quality is very good.

Excuse me, are you implying the data in the initial post of this thread is fake? Enquiring minds want to know.

    Real life range

This is my first EV, so I can’t compare my IM6 to the regen in any other EV. I can however, compare my IM6 regen to the plethora of ICE cars I have driven. I feel the regen braking is closely comparable to the compression braking on the common two liter four cylinder ICE engine, the engine...

    Real life range

I apologize for my lack of clarity on regen braking. Around town/city, one is frequently lifting off the throttle pedal, and that turns the momentum of the car into mechanical energy that drives the car’s motor(s), as opposed to being driven by the motor(s). This turns the motor(s) into a...

No worries. My English is slowly eroding due to a lack of Westerners to whom I can communicate.

No other cars. The occupants besides myself included my wife, her mother, and two sisters. It was a family outing to the mall in the adjoining province. For me it was a good excuse to drive the car.

    Real life range

I along with four others, recently took a 160km road trip, not very far but data is useful. The battery went from 80% to 44%. That indicates an easy 320km range with comfortable head room. Obviously working from a 100% charge would shift the range by another 100km perhaps. The trip consisted...

    New member -new im6 owner

Welcome to the IM6 fold. I believe you will find the build quality, fit, and finish to be on par with anything out of Japan and Germany. That should be expected with robot assembly. I call my IM6 a fast iPhone. Just like an iPhone, it will take a while to wade through the multiple menus with...

    MG IM6 information & reviews

I guess I am most disappointed with is the stubborn and inconsistent operation of the door handles. Unlocking, aometimes, touching the handle pops it out immediately, other times it takes a while (a minute or so) for the handle to pop out. Locking; touching the handle rarely locks the car and...

    MG IM6 information & reviews

Hi lokych , I agree with your car review completely. There are a few problems that I hope a firmware upgrade will fix, but overall I love it. It’s a very comfortable, fast, and a pleasure to drive. At 78 years old, I don’t want another race car anyway, three was enough.

    What charging cables?

My car came with the 3kW type that plugs into a house hold socket (220v). A 20 Amp breaker is preferable. I haven’t used it yet, and according to Murphy’s Law, if I continue to carry it, I’ll never need it. 😉 The included wall supply has the supply cable already attached.
