Aas all verbal. No email. The dealership has an email .... sounds like MG don't want the fault to be widely known. An oversight perhaps? Fundamental design error? PR nightmare?

First, a little recap. I got my Xpower in October 2023. Reported the vibration immediately. My dealership agreed there was a problem and put in a technical report to MG. Subsequently have trialled a steering wheel damper (failed). Wheels realigned and rebalanced (failed). Wheels COMPLETELY...

I've just checked in with my dealer - they're still waiting to hear back from MG on next steps after all previous attempts to resolve the issue have failed. * Reminder - so far we've tried steering wheel damper, wheel alignment, wheel balancing, complete wheel swap (for a Trophy LR).

I use mine - but then I have the Android/USB cable running up to the wireless charging pad (for those who haven't discovered it yet, there's a hole to run your cable up on each side of the wireless pad - just lift the pad cover off gently).

Same. But I still find that the car takes from the batteries in precedence to the Zappi, so I've woken up to find tge batteries have been filling but discharging to the car, and hardly any power left in the batteries. That's why I've set the car to be charged by 4am. Not sure what else I can do...

Ah! Gotcha. Yes, that's what I would expect. Though I'd only expect the Zappi to get the cheaper rate at those times, I would still expect be paying peak rate for all other household use. Though I'm not actually sure how "intelligent" the system is and whether it can differentiate between Zappi...

Just as well I only need to charge once every 4 days then. Can you explain: "when your car stops charging the next end of 30 minute slot i.e. xx:00 or xx:30 is when your 7.5p ends." As I wasn't aware of this. Are you saying, if the car starts charging early, and then finishes by 4pm, I'll be...

This is what's left tonight. It started at 3.05pm-4pm.

Sorry if you already know this... I have Fox batteries, Intelligent Octopus and Zappi. Set iSmart to charge car to 80%. Set Octopus app to add 80% by 4am. Leave the settings. Whenever you plug in, Octopus will see that you can't possibly add 80% by 4am, so will start charging early, but still...

Just read the attached on the FB MG4 Owners Group. We've tried all of this and more ... it made absolutely no difference. My dealer is waiting to hear further instructions.

The garage has confirmed that theTrophy LR (from which the wheels were borrowed) does not suffer the vibration issue.

Good question, would hope that would be common sense, but I'll ask to make sure.

Drum roll ....... the wheel change (for 18" alloys from a Trophy LR, albeit still Bridgestone tyres ...... made no difference Back to the drawing board with MG UK.

The Wheel rebalance didn't work for me. I'm happy for the dealer to use my car for testing (as long as I get a courtesy car for the day) - we both know it has an issue that needs resolving and co-operation is needed. It's not their fault MG has sold them a problem. I've just been out on the M62...
