    I also noticed that R40 (SE) has pretty stable bluetooth connection (knocs on wood). But i still get the occasional issue, when trying to play music over bleutooth or carplay; when i try to play, it immediately pauses. Anyone else experienced that issue?

    Just FYI, for those updating from R33 (SE/Standard) and have sideloaded apps; after update, the apps and everything stays as is (update doesn't seem to reset anything). Helpful for those who want to retain that option; because from the newer versions the keyboard trick doesn't work anymore.

    Finally got my diagnostic tool. Tried to activate for 1hr (to test the interface and logins) but unfortunately couldn't log in to the software. I picked the second option; is this correct one ?

    You can't set a charge limit on LFP cars. And they only balance at 100%

    You can partially blame the operators, tha skimp on power and antenna density of the DAB. DAB generally runs on much lower power amplifiers and antennas, so the coverage isn't as good as FM. And if you have a poor tuner and antenna design (as many cars do) the end result is poor experience. But...

    Have the same issue with mine basically the whole time i have the car. I think the DAB+ HW or antenna or both in MG4 isn't the best, so it's very picky about the signal it gets. In my other car, i have zero DAB issues on the same route. I guess DAB isn't a priority for the chinese, so tuners...

    I do wonder if someone could figure out how to retrofit chinese mg4 screen from their models. To my understanding, some of their models got a bigger ~13" screen and different looking software.

    Yes, mine is 51kWh version. Note posts above, i was able to hit 9.9kWh/100km with really efficient highway driving (one way). I'd say tires help a bit for sure. Mine has 16" (205/60r16) and i picked the most efficient tires i could find (falken e.ziex). So aero can be cheated by driving behind...

    Battery balancing

    Balancing starts at the desired end charge SOC (ie slider that limits % charge) on NMC cars and only at 100% on LFP cars. This is why it's recommended to periodically charge LFP cars to 100%, so they get a chance to balance.

    Yup, round trip. About 60m elevation change; on the way back i hit 9.9kWh/100km, but i this was likely due to elevation. Next time i'm aiming for sub 100Wh/km on the round trip. Plan is to drop the car a few cms to gain a bit of aero advantage (should be a touch better in theory). The car rides...

    Another hypermiling efficiency test on the highway; this time with no AC. Outside temp 23-24C, curising speed around 85-90kmh, 10% city, 90% highway Reported consumption: 10.1kWh/100km That's probably as low a i can go at highway without mods.

    thx for the tips! i'm assuming software is easy enough to use? don't see any real tuturial how to use it. I'm really after updating infotainment and HVAC stuff, since the dealer didn't do it, even after repeated requests.
