Recently my MG4 got the R67 update (in The Netherlands). I noticed that a new icon appeared in the screen: ‘EV-route’ which gives the option to plan a route including proposed loading stops pending your input (e.g. minimum percentage before loading). Now the EV-route option does not work anymore, just a blank map is shown including a button to recenter which does not work either. Any suggestion to have it working again (it used to work fine)?

This problem happens to me too when I connect the car to my home Wi-Fi. With the car data everything works fine.

Thanks for the advice, it now works fine even without my mobile phone in the car, just selecting the Hotspot option in the dashboard screen.

Just sideload ABRP to the infotainment to get proper route planning. Bonus point if you can feed it live data for added accuracy.

How do you move it? You always need a subscription.

You sideload the application to the infotainment (basically runs natively as it would on a phone). This along with developer id option to push live data (via saic-mqtt-gateway) you can get around all paid restrictions.

That's interesting. Not that I'd know how to sideload onto the car😂
it's pretty easy actually

As for data feeding; that requires a bit more setup, as you need a linux based server to get that script working. Usually th easiest path is via homeassistant, as it only takes an addon to install and give it appropriate data (login info, vin and abrp developer id).

That would. E the sticking point for me as I don't have home assistant. I'll likely stick to planning the route through the electroverse app. That worked rather well for my trip from Winchester to Whitby in November. I may revisit the idea of I ever invest in home assistant 👍🏻

You can also buy an obd dongle for your MG4 and feed data to the ABRP that way. It's not as convenient as the API option, but you could use it just to train the ABRP a little bit, so it knows your car and your driving style. This way you get an accurate reference consumption, so you use that to more accuratly plan your trips in ABRP.

I don't think electroverse takes much into account.
ABRP on the other hand, if trained well (and possibly with premium option to enable more features) can be VERY accurate and you can depend on it.
