I use ABRP to plan my charge stops in advance. I’m happy to take it down to around 10% or even less, but I wouldn’t start looking for a charger at that point. I would already know where it is and that I’m not too far from it.

I collected it on 11/07/25 so just under 4 months. It’s used daily and I’ve had a few longish distance trips (Scotland to Anglesey in North Wales has been the longest so far). I’m planning a trip from Scotland to Switzerland next May, so will rack up some miles then.

You do get the old fashioned warning. But only if you power off before opening the door.

If you swipe down on the infotainment screen and select power off, you will get a lights on warning when you open the door. If on the other hand you simply exit the vehicle, then there is no warning.

I charged my MGS5 at the Tesla chargers on Anglesey a couple of days ago and it worked fine. I just set the vehicle as other.

I think it was the large I got. However if I had to buy it again I would probably buy the extra large, for one reason. The side flaps don’t stick very well to the “carpet” stuff on the sides of the boot and could do with being a tiny bit bigger so they can be stuck the plastic part.

I don’t need an ICE car for long journeys. I’ve done Scotland to Cornwall and back in my previous EV, and plan to do Scotland to Anglesey this weekend in the MGS5.

I can confirm they do. The 2 on the NE coast in my map were both Chargeplace Scotland.

Funilly enough, this happened to me this morning. The error cleared just as I pulled into my work car park 😆

+1 for the Electroverse card. It works just about everywhere except Tesla and Gridserve. Also you get this nice map so you can see where you have been in your EV.
