After 3 years of happy motoring with my MG4, I have today collected a new MGS5 in Piccadilly blue. Typically it’s been raining so the car isn’t now as clean as it was when I picked it up!
The salesman explained all of the driving aids and a lot of them were familiar. We were going to drive down to the coast but the weather was too wet, we ended up doing around 30 miles which was a mix of motorway and local roads. After popping back home for a comfort break we headed out again, we were aiming for Chartwell but it was just too wet. We stopped off at a garden centre near Sevenoaks for coffee and cake. One thing I forgot to do before getting out of the car at home was save the MG pilot settings so had to reset some on the move.
I made sure that I saved the settings before getting out of the car at the garden centre. We drove home from there along mainly a roads, I didn’t really pay attention to the consumption figures, tbh they don’t worry me.
First impressions, a very nice drive although I didn’t really push it hard. I do have a couple of questions.
The regenerative braking settings didn’t save which I assume is because they’re not part of the MG pilot settings.
I couldn’t work out the adaptive cruise control. It doesn’t seem as easy as in the 4.
Does anybody know how to get the map section in Android Autoplay to fill the whole screen?
I’m looking forward to more driving and having as good an experience as with the 4.
