    Welcome screen

I've had a look and if there is that option I can't find it.

Some granny chargers are more waterproof than others.

The water might have got in by running down the cable from the charging port and into the charger via the cable entry. Kicking it under the car or putting it into a box wouldn't have made any difference if the water can't drip off before it gets to the control unit.

I know you could on the MG4 not sure on the MGS5. I'll have a look.

    Loose screw/bolt

While its under warranty book it into an MG garage and get them to sort it out. It might be something simple but if something is broken and it needs parts you might find it's difficult to claim under the warranty if they detect unauthorised work.

Power tailgate won't latch/lock after being left open (Timeout/Anti-pinch?)

It will be OK. It doesn't seem to be a reoccurring problem.

Have you noticed fuel prices going up

If they are with Brittany Ferries it is worth them contacting their customer services if they are going to miss the ferry and they will probably let them go on the next one. My brother has been in a similar situation in the past and they let him use his ticket on the next one.

Power tailgate won't latch/lock after being left open (Timeout/Anti-pinch?)

I haven't heard of this particular problem before or come across this fix but it's something to remember for the future. Thanks for telling us about it 😁

Have you noticed fuel prices going up

I was on that version but jumped early to V.17 a couple of weeks ago taking the gamble that when my contract ended in November it would be a lot higher. Only time will tell if I was right. UPDATE: I've just looked and the latest version is V21. Night rate 9p/kWh, day rate 28.44p/kWh and a...

    BYD Dolphin

I'm glad I went with MG and not BYD if their Dolphin is anything to go by. My mate has just bought an ex demonstrator Dolphin as their first EV and gave me a lift last night. The interior styling wasn't to my taste and that's fair enough, but the wind and road noise were louder than the diesel...

Have you noticed fuel prices going up

I'm not playing your game anymore. I'm now paying 5.99p but in my defence I have just locked in my prices for another 12 months.

    Improve miles/kWh

Scientists in America have developed a lubricant that home owners can add to their electricity supply via a pass through filter that decreases the friction of electrons aiding their movement through copper wires. This means that you can charge your EV quicker and at a cheaper rate than...

    Battery range concerns on S5

@ATull unless you've been pre-heating the cabin or the battery that does seem on the low side. It might benefit the car to do a balance charge by charging to 100% on a AC charger and leaving it connected for up to an hour while it balances the cells. The charging rate will fluctuate between 0...

    MGS5 in the wild?

They sort of do but it's more of a variation of a SEP* field in that they look very similar to other small SUVs so you don't notice them. Having said that I have seen a black one outside the local junior school. *Somebody Else's Problem (SEP) field, which makes items invisible by...
