Nice - Have they said anything if they just replaced it with the same part again or wether MG has improved this part and therefore given you a different one?
If you want something like this I would look for home assistant - not sure if there there is an app for watches but I think this is the best solution for this use case.
The difference is massive - We had around 20 degrees today and in the city I easily drove it below 16kwh/100km (with after market not efficient wheels).
Yep - I wouldn't take the risk, except they make a really good price. But even then, if you have a problem it may get expensive.
I would reject the car.
That is not uncommon: My car was produced in April auf 2023 but got delivered to the previous owner by the end of September 2023. It got registered in September, so therefore service is always in September.
Buying these cars new is like burning money - The previous owner of mine lost well over 20.000 Euro within 1.5 years and 5000kms (If we go after the MSRP). Secondhand these are great value here as there is nothing that come close to this. If you want a Born or ID3 with similar specs you are...
For the 51kwh version the lastest is r45 or something like this (something in the 40s range but I am unsure about the actual number). But I am not really sure if that really changes anything as the latest versions only seem to add Open Source Software notices. The update goes in 2 parts:
1 Part...
I have been at a similar point as well. Turns out in my case it was the dealers fault. My repair literally took ages (dealer A was not even able to diagnose the issue and call me back for 6-7 weeks). They also told me they don't know wether my issue was covered under warranty. So I went to a...
I think that the sign recognition works via the infotainment as mine got a lot better after updating. As you have R32 (a very old version) it's very likely it's going to get a lot better if your dealer updates you to R71 (the most recent). I got updated from R46 to R67 and noticed a massive...
You have to take out the glovebox - When doing it for the first time, it's a bit tricky but very doable. I watched both videos to see how to detach what:
You can also check the official manual:
https://www.siteguru.co.uk/MG4/Manuals/...
That's unfortunate.. In Germany we have something similar called "HU" (Haupt-Untersuchung). First one ist after 3 years and after that every 2 years, so I got mine in September - Curios to see how that goes. Were there any signs of this issue?
If this is a permanent issue maybe try to unplug the 12v Battery for an hour or so. If that doesn't do it maybe ask your dealer to redeploy/update the Software for either the CCU (CombinedChargingUnit) or the BMS (BatteryManagementSystem).
You can maybe map the opening of the settings page to this. On the GitHub of the developer you can find an alternative version that displays a virtual button.
Since my MG4 was updated to R67, accessing the AC settings has become annoying. You now have to exit CarPlay (CP) or Android Auto (AA) completely before you can pull down the dropdown menu.
I found a solution that fixes this and makes access quick again!
The Solution
I used the MG4 Swipe...
MG has released the new MG4 and MG4 Urban now in Austria - The most interesting thing being the sub 20k entry price according to their press release. Add some MG dealer discounts and this thing is one hell of deal...
In summer I am going to update the car myself (just waiting for better weather as I don't have a garage). But I know someone who's car is almost completely updated and he doesn't have that feature.
Very nice! I like the integration of the rear tweeters. Also cool the see a MG4 with the white interior (I have never seen one before). What components have you used?
I think I I have came across this somewhere a while back and just want to verify if that is actually true? My 09/2023 Lux on R67 does not save it - how about the newer models like 2024/25?
Very unfortunate.. But as there is no damage and no one got harmed I think it could be worse and it's the kind of story you can laugh about after some time. 😉
Maybe you had the high beams on the manual setting (they stay on after locking the car). I also have experienced that.. I had the car...
I would do a check in SIPS to see if everything is really up to date - In Germany we have a lot of dealers that tell you that your MG is completely updated and what not but in reality it's absolutely not. This to me sounds like a software issue - so if you are willing to invest some time into...
Picked up the car today and it's fixed 🥳 - I also have the impression that the heating works better now (less consumption and more consistent). I asked the dealer what this all would have cost me: around 2500 Euros (everything together) but MG pays for everything.
Update: Just got a call from the dealer and they say its fixed! Issue was some kind of heat pump controller (they replaced it). If I had a good dealer into first place this situation would have been over after around 2 weeks. Everything covered under warranty except for the loaner (they are...
Maybe the actor is blocked or broken - I think this falls under comfort features & electronics and therefore should be covert under the first 3 years of warranty.
