    Are software updates available for....

Awesome, thanks! So the USBC socket is only really useful for charging I guess. Which is fine. Ed: I defo, have an option somewhere for driver attention or similar. But don't remember seeing a sensor on the steering column, will take a look on the way home.

    Are software updates available for....

Hello all. MG 4 XPower, not had any SW updates for about 18 months but due in for a service where they said they can do some if necessary. Brightness setting not being remembered. Better BT connectivity - mine keeps forgetting the phone - and it never appears in the previous connected section...

    Tyres....recommendations for replacements

At 27k the original fronts had 2mm left, the rears were....very illegal....make sure you check the rears - they wear faster than the fronts. The Goodyear Eagle F1 seem to be grippier so far (apart from some black ice yesterday that nearly had disastrous consequences, still excavating my underwear)

    Tyres....recommendations for replacements

Thought I would report back. So had to get the tyres changed rapidly yesterday after an M8 bolt went through the front right. Turns out all the rest of the original tyres were knackered, 0 tread left on rear left, which I hadn't noticed as I was checking the rear right all the time, which wasn't...

    Impact of battery heating

    That'll explain it! Thanks. 7KW, that's a lot.

    Impact of battery heating

I have easily got 239m out of my Xpower when driven to get range (100% to 10%ish), and regularly get 190-200 driving in a more spirited way (but with a fair amount of commute built in). After having it a year and a bit, I have only just found that turning on battery heating can knock at least...

    Drivers side seal/foam damage!

Old thread, but this happened on my < 1year Xpower. Dealer replaced for free although said it wasn't covered by warranty (was about £15 of parts, cheaper goodwill!). The new one is starting to show the same issue. Basically, it's almost impossible to get in and out of the car without rubbing...

Thanks all for the comments. Food for thought!

    Tyres....recommendations for replacements

BlackCircles seem to have a number of different tyres available in the correct size, including direct replacements. Difficult to know which to chose.

    Tyres....recommendations for replacements

I've done a search on the forum, but anything X power tyre related is spread all over the place. So, 20k miles in the last 12 months, and the rears are nearly worn down to the wear bars (Is that usual? Sounds about right to me). The fronts have a fair bit more left. I'll probably do front/rear...

    Occasionally won't switch modes

Ahhhhhhh, that could be it. I did search, but it was difficult to find the right search terms. Thanks!

Saw my first X Power today

I have a green one and passed another green one (March, Cambs) the other day. I gave them a special wave. (Milehouse studios style for the guitar people amongst us)

    Occasionally won't switch modes

Sometimes when I come up to a junction in custom mode (which I have set up for everything eco) and stop, I want to change to sport mode to get away from the junction. But it won't let me change mode (Only tried from steering wheel button). As soon as I start moving, it then allows it. Doesn't...

EU MG4 (all variants) - Service campaign SC077 is out, improving lane assist performance

Odd, the car was in a couple of months ago for a complete software upgrade, but these things only updated when I went in for the LKA recall. I did wonder why when they thought it would take two days to update I got it back within a day!

EU MG4 (all variants) - Service campaign SC077 is out, improving lane assist performance

Adding a few comments from my recent recall (UK) trip to TNS in Kings Lynn (who have been fine as a dealer). The LKA is much better, I've not noticed any change in TJA, which I hardly uise anyway, but there have been other things that have changed that I haven't seen mentioned. The left-hand...
