Yes the MG4 infotainment system is a bit slow to boot up so I suspect that that is the cause of my problems. I have aded a USB switch to my setup so that I only turn on the Ottocast AFTER we are fully booted up and READY to move off. Initial trips have been faultless so let us see.
Hi everyone,
Has anyone found a wireless Apple CarPlay adapter that works reliably with the MG4 64kw Luxury 2024?
I’ve tried multiple devices so far, these are the last two :
HSTOP – inconsistent, frequent black screens after stops
Ottocast U2-Air Pro – set up correctly and updated, but still...
I had my first service a couple of weeks ago. However the other day, about 5 km from home the WARNING light came on suggesting that the front right tyre had lost pressure. I stopped and checked the tyres. All was fine. I went directly to the MG dealer and they said it was a known problem and...
Update : I took the car back to the MG dealer this morning. Getting there resulted in two separte de-activations of the cruise control. The technician suggested that it may be the fact that I use an
OBDLINK CX Bimmercode Bluetooth 5.1 BLE OBD2 Adapter to send data to the ABRP app. However, I...
So my MG4 64kw Luxury 2024 has some 22,000 km. Two months ago, when using ACC set at 80kph (the limit on standard roads in France) it suddenly turned off. I thought it was something I had done but no. This has now become a regular event, the road ahead clear, daylight conditions, and cruising...
So since last November when we bought our MG4 64k Luxury, we have done 20,000km and so i have built up real experience in this car's distance estimates. Overall, I would say that it's very accurate indeed. On everyday driving (summer AC on) we get 4 miles per kw. But on the motorway (where I...
So I was in my local MY dealer's on Tuesday , and was advised that there was a recall on the MG4. It was a Lane Assist recall and they did the upgrade there and then. I don't use Lane Assist at all; indeed I turn it off each time I get into the car, but I wondered if you all have had the same...
So my "trailer" is a bike rack for our two bikes. It slots onto the tow ball and, the moment I plug in the car detects it and removes a load of functions including cruise control. Ona long journey I use ICC ALL the time as it allows me to focus on the driving and not whether I have crepot over...
Yes indeed but I find that if I disconnect the iPhone from the car and then re-connect ABRP "forgets" that we are mid route and hence I have to re-plan. Just wondering if anyone has cracked this, that's all.
We did have soem issues when we first bought the car from new last November. Then we returned it to the dealer in January where they were more focused upon my OBDLink box connected to the car !! Anyway, they said that they had reset everythIng and, since then we have had no issues at all except...
Well, leaving my iPhone in the car is not really an option for me but yes, I would expect ABRP to pick up from the last position. But, it clearly does not, hence my question to this group.
Many thanks. Yes you are right and the folk at the dealership said as much. However, one cannot contract out of the laws of the land. This is what I am advised :
Consumer Law (France/EU):
Under Article L217-5 of the French Code de la consommation, products sold must be fit for purpose and free...
So we purchased our MG4 64kWh Luxury last November since which time we had done 14,000 km. Suddenly BOTH front and rear passenger side tyres collapsed whilst driving at 30kph on a smooth clear road ! We had a breakdown vehicle with us within 30 minutes and the car was taken to my local MG dealer...
