Long Range's Range Cant Be Trusted? Almost Failed To Arrive Home... 😮‍💨

So since last November when we bought our MG4 64k Luxury, we have done 20,000km and so i have built up real experience in this car's distance estimates. Overall, I would say that it's very accurate indeed. On everyday driving (summer AC on) we get 4 miles per kw. But on the motorway (where I...

    LANE ASSIST RECALL

Well, the letter from MG (in English) stated Recall. Anyway, no problem.

    LANE ASSIST RECALL

So I was in my local MY dealer's on Tuesday , and was advised that there was a recall on the MG4. It was a Lane Assist recall and they did the upgrade there and then. I don't use Lane Assist at all; indeed I turn it off each time I get into the car, but I wondered if you all have had the same...

Annoying "features" when using a tow bar

So my "trailer" is a bike rack for our two bikes. It slots onto the tow ball and, the moment I plug in the car detects it and removes a load of functions including cruise control. Ona long journey I use ICC ALL the time as it allows me to focus on the driving and not whether I have crepot over...

    ABRP - on longer trips

Yes indeed but I find that if I disconnect the iPhone from the car and then re-connect ABRP "forgets" that we are mid route and hence I have to re-plan. Just wondering if anyone has cracked this, that's all.

    MG4 Software Update Thread

We did have soem issues when we first bought the car from new last November. Then we returned it to the dealer in January where they were more focused upon my OBDLink box connected to the car !! Anyway, they said that they had reset everythIng and, since then we have had no issues at all except...

    ABRP - on longer trips

Well, leaving my iPhone in the car is not really an option for me but yes, I would expect ABRP to pick up from the last position. But, it clearly does not, hence my question to this group.

MG4 Bridgestone tyres - Damaged from new!

Many thanks. Yes you are right and the folk at the dealership said as much. However, one cannot contract out of the laws of the land. This is what I am advised : Consumer Law (France/EU): Under Article L217-5 of the French Code de la consommation, products sold must be fit for purpose and free...

MG4 Bridgestone tyres - Damaged from new!

So we purchased our MG4 64kWh Luxury last November since which time we had done 14,000 km. Suddenly BOTH front and rear passenger side tyres collapsed whilst driving at 30kph on a smooth clear road ! We had a breakdown vehicle with us within 30 minutes and the car was taken to my local MG dealer...

    ABRP - on longer trips

So, overall I love ABRP, it competes well with Google Maps and in many respects it is much better (the quality of the map itself and the detailed information re charge points). However, on a recent trip to SW France to UK and back, I noticed that when one stops say, at a charge point, and then...

    ABRP 6.x a real improvement !

Yes up to twenty years ago I used my trusty Michelin maps all the time. Now however,, with ABRP taking live data from my MG4 it now forecats with incredible accuracy my trips. Today we went to the beautiful town of Cognac and back. It's not very far from us but, neverthess ABRP forecast the SoC...

Annoying "features" when using a tow bar

I suspect I could yes. But my point was why disable the ICC in the first place. Anyway, I guess that no one else uses a tow bar or is not concerned with this problem.

    ABRP 6.x a real improvement !

i fear that my point was missed. I am not questioning ABRP's cost, merely pointing out that it used to be very inaccurate and now it seems super accurate PLUS it now offers touch screen option to add a stop to the planned journey. I also like the fact that towns and villages are clearly named...

    ABRP 6.x a real improvement !

So I use the OBDLink to transfer live data from the car to ABRP but, until now, the forecast consumption was poor; ultra conservative or totally inaccurate! However today we have done a 250 km trip and I was VERY impressed that ABRP's forecast there and back was accurate to within 1% ! Amazing...

Annoying "features" when using a tow bar

We have our two electric bikes which we transport using a Thule bike krack. So when you attach the bike rack, the car immediately de-activates lane assist (great!), rear reversing sensors but also the cruise control! This is a VERY annoying feature as I can see no logic behind it whatsoever. I...
