    An update and a plea for more help. The T-box is replaced, the updates all installed and 2nd year service done but the car still refuses to communicate with the app. It does not update the clock and it isn't showing an emergency calls unavailable error message anymore.     I think they went into administration and were then being fired for breach of contract. I believe the money paid to invest in the coops is ring fenced until invested (with the probable exception of the investment fee).

    write them a letter advising that if the issue is not resolved by repair or replacement within 7 days you will engage a solicitor and arrange your own replacement or repair. then do that and the cost is theirs - they have the option to repair or replace faulty goods but have done neither.

    Rather concerningly the clock can shift 6 hours overnight, which is why I can't currently use it to schedule a charge! Makes me wonder if once powered down the clock goes to sleep too or if more than the T-box is knackered!

    That's right. Mine is an MG4EV not an MG5, an SE not a trophy, none of those screens look like mine and I see no option to change the time when I disable automatic updates.

    The clock normally updates automatically from the web so loses this function on loss of the telecom function. What is odd is that it doesn't manage to keep approximate time using battery power whilst it has no connection but I just accepted that as a cheap no thought given MG thing! Odder still...
