No the Tesla system was originally set up for Teslas alone. It opens the charging port for the car and knows the car and who to charge, the driver only has to plug the car in, everything else is handled by Tesla.The concept of needing to identify yourself and pay is alien to their system. This...

It costs nothing to set up and enter your card details. I don't need to charge often away from home but the simplicity of their systems makes me think I will go for one of their cars next.

There are a lot of folk on here who love their 4's and no car is 100% perfect :)
