This is incorrect. Under distance selling laws and the basic law of contract if they have delivered a product that does not meet the specifications you agreed you are entitled to a refund. You should make this point to them and then seek redress through your credit/debit card provider.

It's not a plug locking issue. The plug locks then within seconds the whole thing stops. I have no problems with other CCS units but I noticed today that the Geniepoint I tried was an identical unit to the EB ones close to my home.

I thought it might be this at first but it wasn't. They just don't seem to handshake properly

My partner has an SE SR and the best we've seen it do is 84kw. That was on the exact same charger from the photo I started this thread with.

I've tried a total of three (two EB and a single Geniepoint) of these design of chargers now on my SE LR. They are the ones with a CCS, a Chademo and a Type 2 socket. Every one of them fails to charge. More accurately, they start the process, begin charge and then stop, saying "charge complete"...

I've had five cars with Android Auto and never seen it. I'm not convinced it's common at all. I wish MG would do the same as Renault and make infotainment system software upgrades a straightforward download to usb stick for user application .

There's a phone number in one of the insurance threads. MG Insurance. Went with Admiral at £380 for the year. A bit steep but the car isn't listed with many insurers yet.
