Can anyone advise me what these lights acually mean? And how many should be showing as there seems to be 4. My MG4 Trophy LR starts with one white, then goes to one (sometimes 2) blue when plugged in, but I have recently seen a green. No red so far, if that even exists! Last night lights on blue...

Thanks for your reply. A red battery symbol did appear at some point although I only noticed it during my struggles to unhook, and I wasn't really sure what it meant. Have had the car since April so quite new and yes, I was aware of the emergency release cable but that didn't work either...

As mentioned, the RAC guy called it a Soft Reset; I guess it's much the same as fixing a computer by (to quote The IT Crowd) 'have you tried turning it off and then turning it on again'.

Took my MG4 Trophy LR on a longish (for us) run from Essex to Dorset on Tuesday 11th Feb, a distance of about 150 miles. We stopped a Fleet services on the M3 to top up; I probably could have made it in one go but would have arrived with very little remaining charge. Plenty of chargers available...

I have mine set to 'Eco' and with everything set to Auto; temperature is set to 24C. Seems fine.

I charge to 100% every time from my 7.4kW home charger, the rational being that this reduces the number of times I have to unwind/re-wind my 12 metre charging cable!. I also don't believe that the charge rate delivered is likely to unduly degrade the battery,

Thanks for this info. I had noticed this 'problem' but wasn't aware of the solution; I had just assumed that it was something that I had to live with!
