Anyone else feeling well let down by the rising electricity tariffs in the UK. I know it's very selfish as there's a lot of people a lot worse than a retired bloke with a hybrid car but when the new price cap comes in in October it will be more expensive to charge than use petrol and by April...
Hi,
I'm off to France on Monday. Just heard about a Crit'Air ( clean air emissions) sticker needed to travel through some cities. I'm driving from Cherbourg to the Vendee not going through any of the names cities.
Anyone any idea if I should have had one of these. Tried to order one online now...
I know this is an old thread but wondered if there was anything new about Pod Point? I've recently started charging my PHEV at various Tesco/ free suppliers. My cable has stuck on numerous occasions and the only way I've done it is to keep locking and unlocking the car until I can release it...
Okay that makes sense - thank you. So I can plug into a 22kw charger without damaging the car but it will only charge at 3.6? I've attached to a 7kw at Tesco without any probs.
Thanks again/ just got to sort out where I can charge in France now. Thank you all for all your input.
What is the maximum output I can attach my HS Phev to? There seem to be a lot of 22kw chargers in France. Will that damage my car? Sorry - I know I'm a bit thick!!!
My petrol gauge when full reads anything between 280 and 340!! Seems to be quite random. Will always stay at that level ( around 300 miles) for at least 70 miles. I always get at least 300 miles out of a tank without taking any charging into account. Pretty good for a big car.
I'm sure there are posts on this already but can't find. I'm taking my HS Phev from Cherbourg to Vendee in a few weeks time. Really a little unsure about where/ how to charge the car on the way down / whilst there. It's about 350 miles door to door so expect it won't really use all of an...
On a similar topic, if I am in France, can I still use the granny charger using an adaptor on the plug or will the voltage not work. We are staying on a EuroCamp site. Also do the 'Aire' charging points use type 2 leads? Any help gratefully received for July!!!
Thanks for that GCB. That's all really reassuring. I've just plugged it in at home for the first time and my smart meter is showing 34 p an hour. On my calculations that mens it should fill for about £2.40? Sounds a bit too good. Anyway I'll stop worrying now and just enjoy driving.
Sorry - me again!! Should the mileage drop from 283 to 275 whilst it's warming up/ de misting before drive off. Seems extreme!! Hopefully will go up when start driving!
