Has anyone in the UK or Australia been involved in an accident and found that their airbags failed to deploy in their MG4. Yesterday my Orange MG4 Long Range 77kWh car was t-boned just before exiting a round about and noticed that none of the air bags were deployed.
My accident to my car was a...
It is sort funny that we now rely on Apps to navigate when a little planning can often be the only thing to think about before you start a journey.
Like finding out where the chargers are along your intended route.
People need to be a little more aware of how far your EV can go on a full charge...
I have made my own inserts to replace the OEM covers, thus spare the covers from being damaged.
Also I can design my own covers to suit what I like.
These are printed in ABS (do no use PLA or PETG) as anything other than High temp materials is likely to warp on hot days and fall off.
I have created a set of Registration plate covers for my WA (AUS) plates and think they look nicer than the standard covers supplied by the dealer.
They have been designed with just the standard WA rego plates 372 mm x 132 mm.
They have been printed in ABS for the what you see is green and the...
I have now also created a set of inserts for a white MG4.
See pix attached. Also post same pix on another post as well.
I also looking at creating a set which can glow in the dark (Green/Blue) while in the day they appear green or blue, this will be way cool to see at night.
I have an Anycubic Kobra 2 Max which I have used to print my car wheel inserts. The current set on my Orange Long Range 77 look really cool and a White Essence 64 now has Green/Purple one.
Attached are pix of the inserts on the White MG4.
If the daily commute is say 50 miles for whole day, why are they complaining about range when each night you can top it up before each commute. And having say a spare 100 miles of charge surely is not such a problem for many in the UK!
I too at looking to create a model for a Front Boot/Trunk which will have a lid of sorts.
But I am looking to just store the "granny" charger and perhaps the tyre repair kits/stuff.
I am printing mine on an Anycubic Kobra 2 Max which has a print volume of 420 x 420 x 450 (all in mm). I am also...
I have now managed to print a complete set for my MG4 and you can see them in the attached picture. The next version currently being printed improves on the installation in that they no longer need a screw and insert to make them stay in place. So far the new version does slip about 1-2mm due to...
The real reason are insurance companies who are driving the changes, since if you don't them they can claim you were at fault with no evidence to support your claims in an accident.
MG4 speed adjustments could be the issue is when a side road speed sign is detected it generally is at a lower speed which the MG4 thinks applies to itself when it is not. This is difficult to overcome, so may in future they fix it.
It can also come about when a vehicle has a speed restriction...
I live in Perth, WA.
I got all of my accessories from Aliexpress.
Search for "MG4 Seat covers" and look "Custom Woman Luxury" store. Mine cost my $280 AU (both Front and Back seats and I bought 2 sets of them).
Search for "mg4 electric tailgate" and look at "Autobora" for the store. Mine coat...
Here is what the existing inserts look like on the car. I think looks better than the prior images.
I will soon upload to youtube a video of these inserts when I correct the Kwh to kWh text.
