I think some of the UK owners have noted a change in the "drop speed in a corner" behaviour after some system updates, but I wouldn't be able to tell you the versions, and I'm pretty sure our Aussie cars are on their own software branch anyway. (although maybe not in case of the Xpower?)

What would happen though if the driver gets out, the car comes out of ready state, and say a passenger locks the car using the internal button? Does the car turn off because "no bum on drivers seat + lock = off"? Not much of a solution, but just got me wondering.

Just to note that as you lift your butt of the seat, the car drops out of ready mode and is not able to be driven. If you have your keys in your pocket, and someone was to get in your car, it won't go into Ready mode without having the keys present, so they can't drive off with your car.

Your Trophy is equalising at 80%, some people in this thread confuse which car this forum is about, and talk about other models, that have no bearing on our MG4s. This thread should perhaps be split and/or moved to the general section, so (new) MG4 owners don't get confused.

The HV battery turns off as soon as you lift your butt from the seat. I can open my charging port without first locking and unlocking the car.

If you turn it on when getting in the car, and then put the car in Ready mode, it will reset everything to default again (the things that default anyway) so be mindful to do your pre-flight checklist after putting the car in ready mode.

Not sure why it seems to be the other way around now. In the MG4 the NMC batteries can equalise at the set finish %, and the LFP can’t set a % other than 100%, which is where the battery can equalise its cells. This is the MG4 forum so confusing the facts with other models seems counterproductive.

The NMC batteries will balance the cells at whatever target is set for charging to stop, but a BMS calibration should still be <10% - 100% ideally. I think the MG4 with LFP only balance at 100%

It is annoying, I once had something similar with a drop shipping company. In my case thankfully my bank could help as they had send me an email agreeing to refund me. Hope you get it sorted, I would expect PayPal to do right by you
