The filter I have now is a thin paper thing. The leaves were in the fan under the filter, I had to stick my hand right in (after making 100% sure the fan was off).

Our car had the same issue in June last year, finally got the car back in September last year. Wrote to the dealer asking what had caused the issue and/or been repaired, got no reply.

Garage say they only have one type of filter for all cars. I’ll try MG themselves.
