Snow mode engages 4WD on the X Power and reigns in the power delivery, so in theory you start off nice and gently, which is what you want in Snow. I'm presuming in RWD models it just reigns in the power. Which in most conditions will be ok. Don't think there's any Black Magic involved. 😉🙂👍

AWD is engaged in Sport mode and Snow mode. You get the full beans in sport mode, but the power is reigned in, in Snow mode, for obvious reasons. But neither mode works in reverse, unfortunately. You also get AWD in other modes if you floor, the acceleration, but only, temporarily. Michelin also...

As very sad as that is. The driver is obviously gonna blame the car, he's hardly gonna admit it was his fault. The fact it was an EV, is irrelevant. That could easily have happened with an ICE. But obviously an EV makes better headlines.

Yep, when I got my X Power it was 25 grand as opposed to full list of 37 grand. So 12 grand off list. The IM5 performance is already 8.5 grand off, which for such a new model, is excellent. I can definitely see it becoming even cheaper, which is great, for us. 🙂👍

My guess is the Cold snap. I know mine's a different model (X Power) but the last couple of days, it's been saying low tyre pressure. The tyres are fine, and goes off after a while. And also the other day the EP light was flashing, which is either Electronic parking or Electronic Power steering...

2010/2011 was pretty bad, heavy snowfall and just didn't thaw for about 5 weeks. I was gritting for the Council then. And we were out everyday, sometimes 3/4 times a day. That's the worst I've ever known. 🙄🤪

Definitely reduced. Had my X Power in Snow mode, which works great. Tried to go a bit faster, on a duel carriageway, which was clear of snow. It definitely felt, pegged back. Don't get me wrong, still nippy, but nowhere near as fast. Which s'pose is the idea. 🙂👍

Not sure, as mines an X Power and obviously puts it into 4WD. Wouldn't think it would be as beneficial on ICE, because on snow you have at least got a bit of grip. On pure ICE, you ain't got much, if any That's my thinking, anyway

Think it just puts it in 4WD obviously. And deadens, throttle response. So you start off nice and easy. As opposed to 4WD in Sports mode, when you've got the full beans. Whatever it is, it seams, to work.
