I went with the 2 year service deal straight from MG. It was a lot cheaper than what my local dealer (Bromley) wanted. About 90 for year 1 vs 150.

Hi, I've seen a few posts that mention a checklist to run through when collecting the MG4. I am collecting ours tomorrow so if there is a link to a good checklist I'd appreciate it. It might be worth putting into the tips and hints pinned thread on here too. Many thanks!

We got our reg a couple of weeks before it was delivered to the dealer. Took about a week for insurance sites to actually see the car it was registered to. I believe they first reserve the registration and then once they're more sure the car is coming they'll register it to the VIN.

Forgot to use the code at the end but also just ordered a set, only the cheapest for now, will see how long they last.

It won't be something that can just be turned on with existing cars, perhaps a future updated revision might have it but true V2G usually involves bi-directional DC charging with a suitable charging point. I doubt that's something they have engineered in but just disabled.

You should look into a dedicated eV charging tariff like octopuses new intelligent one, 7.5p kWh at night, 39p for the day.

With regards to the cost of running an electric car don't forget with a little more investment you can make your own fuel for it. I doubt you can do that with an ICE. Taking about solar of course, even a modest 3kw set of panels would be enough to keep most peoples cars fully charged assuming...

I'd be surprised if it had a heat pump for the UK, it doesn't usually get cold enough here to warrant the extra expense. Probably going to be an option in colder countries
