In mine the "range drop" is because the heating is switched on and drive is not in "eco" mode. To see the same range, switch those both off (and on again for a warm car that drives well!).

I ran out....just once. It fires increasing warnings, stops showing mileage estimates - just "CHARGE NOW". Then it limps, then it stops. Was not fun! (midnight in barnstaple, nowhere to charge, only 12 miles home..."risk it"). Even a year later, there are more chargers available.
