Bad day. Battery drop from 13% to 1%.

Yes I've had this happen last weekend, finished the journey (temperature 4 degrees) at 13% and 2 hours later the car said 3% when the temperature had fallen to 2 degrees and the battery had cooled down. This is normal battery chemistry and nothing to worry about unless you are not very close...

Yes, I went from Yorkshire to Essex recently, 220 miles. On the way down the average temperature was 3 degrees, and I needed a 10 minute charge to get all the way. On the way back, the average temperature was around 9 agrees and I made it back with the need for charging and had 20 miles of...

Deal Agreed OVMS kit with 4G antenna and OBD2 cable

I'm an MG5 owner (LR 2022 1st edition), and when I looked into getting an OVMS I couldn't find one that worked with the MG5. Have you found one that works now?

Here’s my December figures. A lot of my mileage was from my trip to Heathrow from Yorkshire. On the way down two Gridserve services were completely unavailable, one had just one working (and a long queue) and the other both working but a queue! However when we got to our destination at Heston...

Better late than never, so here's my October driving summary. Since I got the car in June last month was the first much cooler weather driving, and I've noticed around a 20% drop in range. Does anyone recommend changing any car settings for the cooler weather please?

I wonder if I saw you in my home town of York? Did you use the City of York Council BP Pulse network of chargers? They only charge 25p/kW for slow and 30p/kW for fast & ultra fast!

Here’s my September log which had 2 long weekends, York to Essex and York to Cardiff! All motorway driving at 60 mph (Cardiff 250 mile trip down completed with 6% battery left!)

That's an impressive 4% left! I got down to 3% when I did a York to Essex trip recently (took a bit of driving around finding a working charger). I think I noticed at 5% that the car no longer told you that you had 30 miles of range left. Has anyone ever made it to 0% and still had a couple...

    Charging Woes

Last weekend we did our first long distance trip from Yorkshire to Essex and back and we discovered that fast charging in the area we stayed was really poor (though it looked ok on zap map) - we discovered that all the fast chargers had two painted bays but they only allowed one car to charge at...

Newbie MG5 10 Things Learnt in First Month

Yes I only discovered that recently - before I discovered it I was having to turn the volume knob to 0 (this still leaves the navigation volume on) since I couldn't work out how to switch off the radio!
