    MG4 Charging power 0.0kW

Yes, it is very frustrating. I think it is software related and not the 12V battery. Not had any warnings or flat 12V.

    Indra Charger on an MG4

Different issue but I dont think it's Indra related as someone had the same thing with a Hypervolt. With delayed charging (Intelligent Octopus Go), the 'charge' starts but at 0.0kW. After 10 minutes, Octopus sends a message saying it cannot control charger. Manually stopping and starting the...

Dash Cam - Fuse Box or OBD Port?

OBD is always powered on MG4 My Nextbase connects through it. Have a OBD splitter cable so have both the Dash cams and Bluetooth OPD dongle for ABRP at the same time.

    Rain sensor windscreen wipers

My last two cars had auto wipers. The Suzuki was OK but not great. The Kia had a mind of its own and didn't have a proper intermittent wipe, it just changed the sensitivity of the auto wipers. Prefer the manual variable intermittent wipers on the MG4. I'm assuming there must be a sensor on the...

Keeping track of my MG4 (efficiency)

Did just over 150 miles on mainly motorway yesterday at an average of 5.0. I drive like an old fart.

    EV scheduled charge issue

Different charger, but I find with scheduled charging, my MG4 will say it has started charging but the rate will stay at 0kW. After 10 minutes it gives up and I get a message from Octopus to say the charging has failed. (On IOG with drive pack, but has the same with plain Octopus Go). My...

Had the Dreaded 12V Battery Drain Overnight

Re: Lights I find it is easy to leave the lights on. I find that it doesn't warn me that are on when getting out of the car or locking. It does warn me when I unlock the car.... It's also a case of me unlearning what my previous Kia Soul did. What that, all the lights turned off when the car...

    Charging issue

I'm on R040 with an Indra Charger on Octopus Intelligent Go. I find that when the charge period starts, the car reports it is charging but the rate is 0 KWh. After 10 minutes, the charge fails. If I stop the charge and then manually start the charge, the car charges correctly. My wife's Kia...

    Circuit breaker home charger

Is that the meter cupboard next to it? We have the Indra Smart Pro next to our supply / meter cupboard. However, the Indra isn't wired into our main consumer unit. They used Henley (?) Blocks on the tails to the isolator to the Smart Pro. There is a CT Clamp to limit current to the Indra based...

Flat 12v battery after 6 weeks

12V batteries going flat are an issue for all EVs. It is often speculated that it is because the batteries have been developed for continuous charging by an alternator, rather than the top up charging done by EVs. I keep a jump starter battery in the storage box in the centre console.

    MG4 Charging power 0.0kW

Same experience with our Indra Smart Pro. I have to set a schedule on the MG4 to match when Octopus Intelligent gives the charging slots. Occasionally this fails. The trick I have is to stop the charge and then restart in the app. It's a pain if the charging slots are not all consecutive. My...

    Traffic sign Recognition

My Trophy (LR) seems to use a mixture. On joining a motorway it knows it is 70 without any signs. There is one main road near me the council reduced the speed limit from 40 to 30 ( then a year later took down the reminder signs and started parking the road safety piggy bank on that stretch)...
