    MG4 X Power Vibe/Hum 65 to 75mph

I had noisy brakes whem using them in reverse moving slowly. Liberal application of brake cleaner on the calipers and into the pads/pin area cured the issue.

    MG Diagnostic/Software Update

a couple of weeks ago I had software updates applied to my car on the advice of MG after I had booked my car in for it's first service. However, MG suggested that I book a second appointment for software updates. This was carried out before my service date (which will take place in January)...

Slightly pathetic data limitation - 1GB, MG4 Trophy

In Maltese, "gemgem" isn't a standard word but a term used for people who grumble or complain, especially workers who were paid by the British but disliked their tasks, meaning someone who is always whining or reluctant, like "jagħli għax jisbaħ" (boiling because it's dawn). The word for a...

    Cordless air compressor

I bought one from Lidl a few weeks ago, powered by a rechargeable battery used across their range of Parkside tools. Excellent product, was only €24.99, very robust, have a bunch of parkside tools so already had a couple of batteries.

    Charging question

19.92 kWh in 2hrs 51mins, so an average of 6.9 kW and that's including power throttling due to the load balancer managing devices such as washing machine and pool pump cutting in during charging. Very happy with that.

    Lifting point for changing wheels

There are arrows on the plastic sill that identify the jacking point. These line up exactly with the jacking hole points sealed with a rubber protection cap. The pucks simply add more protection than placing the jack on the seam weld. Many cars have the positioning holes for jacking pucks...

    Lifting point for changing wheels

Not yet but they fit perfectly, don't see any problem. They were advertised as being suitable for the MG4.

    Lifting point for changing wheels

I have a set of these pads which fit perfectly in these holes when the rubber cap is removed.

    Charging question

If nothing else such as pool pump, washing machine, dish washer etc is running, I regularly see 7.0 sometimes 7.1 through the Wallbox app when charging.

    Shock absorber dust boot problem

Why didn't you just take the dust boot that you bought to the originl dealer and ask them to fit it? No need to buy any special tools and keeps your warranty intact.

MG4 2023 driver seat material degradation cracks

I have seat covers fitted to my Xpower. So far, 7000kms in just under a year. Took a look under the front seat covers and the originals look brand new, no creasing, no 'polishing', same as when I picked the car up from the sealer on day one. Seat covers definetely work and here we have a few...

    12 volt battery

I replaced a gel battery in one of my motorcycles more than 4 years ago with a LifePo. Bike starts like new today, no issues whatsoever. I'll definitely be replacing my MG4 battery with a LiFePo when the time comes. No brainer.
