Hi, i gave MG UK (Spoke to them directly) every chance to fix the car and in the end they stated there's too many
variables and at this point the dealers hands were tied, so in the end i sold it on and actually bought a Zoe and this works fine and as expected. My ZS battery was fully balanced...
The avg is only 12 mph, hence why in ECO he can do 173 in the warmer months.... If the average was around 25 mph, then you would be probably looking in ECO mode, no more than 140 miles and in winter knock another 20 - 30 miles of this, unless you plan not to use the heater at all....
I could only ever get anywhere close to 50KW (or max of 80KW) if i had travelled a considerable distance (100 mile+) and the battery pack was hot but obviously will change depending on the outside temperature. For me, my MG ZS EV and i presume the MG5 is the same but normally and even with low...
I know exactly how you feel, MG UK simply don't care and it's never their fault and the car is performing correctly. Maybe they think we are buying cheap EV so and should just except the faults and crack on!!!!
With so many cars suffering from software faults MG should have included a 10mm...
Do you consider 25% remaining to be low SOC that's a 1/4 of the overall battery, so effectively from your comments you are happy with a car that performs perfectly fine for 75% that's equivilant to a 33KW battery... I agree why would you need full power when the first warnings come on? Well...
I am happy with the reduced power if the car tells's me this is limited, but it doesn't, and if you come to overtake or can only manage 25MPH up the smallest of inclines, then clearly this is not right or at least for me; it's not. Perhaps though people are happy with a car that performs for...
The last time the dealer had the car the imbalance result was 0.006mv across the pack and it was the best they had ever seen, so not a BMS problem.
I know the dealer has never tested my car but they did their own test in another MG ZS EV and the result was the same and this does suggest it's...
Long story but please read this could be applicable to all MG ZS EV….
Within the first 30 days of ownership my new car, I noticed that at low SOC <25% the power of the car would not go above 30% (+ 2C) when going from 10mph and up a very small incline. I immediately informed my dealer who at...
From my experience rejection is much harder than you think and knowing what i do now and as previously stated, i would only give the dealer once chance to fix this and make sure it's within the first 30 days (although not 100% sure if this applies to used cars).
Surplus to requirements and little used 7KW 32Amp Type 2 charge cable with bag.
Collection from Wakefield or willing to post at buyers expense.

Thanks for the detailed information and from this and based on other comments, then i would expect if on a 50KW charger the rate to the fairly flat with little drop off until nearer the 80%. What though i can see is the temperature of the pack increases significantly, which is something i've not...
OK, perhaps my title was incorrect and should have said KW, Regardless though, the amount of energy supplied in my table (Charge KWH) clearly shows that to get 33KW (0-80%) takes longer than the 40 mins MG claim unless and in my case i drive more than 100 miles and this moreover the point i was...
You need to find out the millivolt imbalance first. MG's position on this is if the value is greater than 100MV the dealer needs to perform this, any less this should be the customer (unless your dealers willing to do this out of good will).
